PTP ”Papua New Guinea – A Culture in Transition”. the click through link takes you to 30 interesting and in many ways great images of tribal PNG by Brent Stirton. This is somewhere I would love to return to one day. The images have me reflecting on using flash, as to me these are too much about flash and at the same time, the alternative in terms of adequately exposing the black skin and rich colour is not at all straightforward. So, dear viewer, photographer or not, is it just me or does the flash ‘modern unreality’ unsettle you too. Feedback, advice, thoughts all appreciated. Original link via ‘The Travel Photographer”s blog which is well worth tracking.
