Mr. Wolf’s project, “Architecture of Density,” focused on Hong Kong’s exteriors, but when people began to ask him what the insides of the buildings he photographed look like, he decided to bring his camera indoors. Through a friend, he met a social worker who took him around Shek Kip Mei, which was scheduled to be demolished because of its age.
