LINK another image from Berger’s series on the Tibetan Delek Hospital which I revisited today and still really like……. maybe its something about the photographer’s relationship to the place and its work……
Chag-Po Nang-Ha » is a Tibetan expression which means “Take care of yourself.”
Jonathan Berger’s photographs document the clinics that provide medical care to the Tibetan exile community in India. Tibetan Delek Hospital, founded in 1971, provides much-needed health care to the Tibetan and local Indian communities in Dharamsala, India in the foothills of the Himalayas. The Tso-Jhe Hospital provides care is in the Bylakkupe Tibetan settlement, a large community of Tibetans in the south of India.
