Antarctica 18 Landscape 1/10 Petermann Island near Booth Island and the Lemaire Channel ( 65 deg 10 min S, 64 deg 10 min W)
The utterly wonderful landscape was my biggest surprise of this trip and is what in the end will probably take me back again. This is on one of the little islands on the peninsula that in itself I would happily spend a week photographing in different lights. For me it epitomises the utter wildness of Antarctica and the little penguin slogging through the snow on the right hand side says something about who, if anyone, is master of this world.
