Antarctica 21 Landscape 5/10 the vast ‘amphitheatre near Baily Head just outside the caldera of deception Island. I think the last eruption was in 1960. A challenging landing due to the steep exposed beach. Images of that another time.

This image illustrates how in some places the penguins, more or less, are the landscape. In this case a wide ranging chinstrap colony pygoscelis antarcticus.
