(after several crashes by Capture 1, unfortunately, which, fingers crossed was fixed by complete uninstall and re-install) Capture 1 has not entirely fixed the dirty looking noise in out of focus areas on the canon 7D file but the image itself comes out ‘sweeter’ to my eye at least. I will persist with Capture 1 for now.
