centre 27
this is the last for now of the centre series. I was taken by how Uluru can sometimes be become reduced to an icon and wanted to try to place it back in the centre of its country. People are slowly giving up the need to climb ‘the rock’, an act of imperialism that distresses the traditional owners so they now walk around it. It seems however that they sometimes do this fairly mindlessly without letting the country touch them if the snippets of conversations about Italy(?) are any guide. Then again what would I know of other peoples souls. Anyway I hope you gained something of the experience of this country from the series all of which are from around Uluru and Katajuta. I hope to follow this up again in future and and take the series further.
I have chosen to end the series for now with this image of red dirt and blue sky and the desert oaks knitting them together.
