DOL 21 Namibia. This is the last of the Dance of life/Dance of Light series. Clicking on the photo (from the blog main page) should bring up the whole series. Feedback very welcome. New moon tomorrow.
…and no I didn’t put the moon there ‘in photoshop’ it was something to do with gravity and orbits and stuff…but given its the 40th anniversary of the landing its pretty cute huh!
((The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days[nb 3](the orbital period), and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth–Moon–Sunsystem are responsible for the phases of the moon, which repeat every 29.5 days[nb 4](the synodic period).))
DOL 17 a cheetah crosses the airstrip just before our last internal flight in Namibia. Both a strange and wonderful blessing and a reinforcement of the notion that its good to have an accessible camera with you ‘cause you never know… Our driver said they hadn’t seen a cheetah in the area for two years or more.
DOL 13 another favorite image from a water town in china. The link is to the river town gallery on one of my other sites.
